The Girls Next Door - A guilty pleasure

Ok, I admit it, I like reality shows and I totally dig The Girls Next Door which makes me feel a bit like a traitor to feminists but I can't help myself. And while the attraction might seem obvious, beautiful girls in skimpy attire, I've actually grown quite fond of Holly, Bridget and Kendra. They're all so different and even though I wish there was a brunette among them, I can understand why Hugh Hefner has made these three women his primary squeezes.

Out of the three girls, I tend to favor Bridget because she's the one that seems the most like everyday people, if you can be "everyday" living in the Playboy Mansion. She's got a head on her shoulders, with a masters degree in communications and she's working on another in broadcast journalism. She definitely isn't resting on her laurels as a Playboy Centerfold and star of her own reality show. Bridget is also the oldest of the three at 31, another reason I like her, she's just got a bit more maturity about her.

On the other hand, Kendra, who just celebrated her 21st birthday in Las Vegas, is just an energizer bunny who loves Hip Hop and Rap and who even purchased her very own grill. I'm sure she gives Hef a run for his money. Holly, at 25, is Hef's favorite and from what I hear she may possibly be his next bride. Gosh, I wonder if that will mean no more Girls Next Door?

Heavy sigh, I don't want to think about that, instead I'll go chew on another guilty pleasure, a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.
