Rules and Guidelines

IPHIS strives to provide a safe, respectful and open environment for single lesbians, where our users can connect for community, friendship, networking and dating. Therefore it is necessary for all users to adhere to certain rules. The administrators at IPHIS will take appropriate action if  these rules are broken, which could including banning a user. We urge our community to report problems by contacting us using the contact form.

All users must be at least 18 years old and female (either biologically, transgendered or gender identified) to participate in the IPHIS community for single lesbians. If it is believed that these rules are being violated than the user's account may be terminated immediately and without notice.

IPHIS has been created as a place for lesbians, specifically single lesbians, to find each other. We are a group of women often isolated from one another due to, among other reasons, location, homophobia, lack of a support system, and fear of being "known." For these reasons, IPHIS exists to create a global community for single lesbians.

Prohibited Conduct

  1. Inflammatory or hateful comments related to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, language of origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or marital status.
  2. Personal attacks, name-calling, or belittling another member. This includes telling other members to shut up or be quiet, as well as telling other members they are not qualified to post their opinions.
  3. Excessive use of profanity. If you have to think twice about whether something is appropriate, it probably shouldn't be posted on our website.
  4. Inappropriate sexual references or terminology. Sexual acts/body parts are to be referred to by their scientific/medical names.
  5. Posting full or partial texts of copyrighted materials if they are not your own or in the public domain. See the U.S. Copyright Office for more information. You may also want to visit your country's copyright office as well.
  6. SPAM is a general term used to describe anything from a link to an online petition, a blog, or an advertisement for a product/service. Content is determined as SPAM on a case-by-case basis.

Instant Ban Conduct

  1. Posts containing private information about any other member.
  2. Theft of another member''s IPHIS identity. Any impersonation of a member of this web site in any manner is strictly prohibited.
  3. Posts that contain pornography or warez, or posts that serve to promote pornography, warez, or any illegal activities or materials.
  4. Multiple memberships. Only one account per person is allowed without prior authorization from an administrator.

Personal Correspondence and Information

  1. Sending harassing correspondence of any sort to any member is prohibited.
  2. Posting personal message exchanges without consent from all parties involved is prohibited. This applies to correspondence between other members AND correspondence between IPHIS.
  3. Posting email addresses, postal addresses, telephone numbers, or any other sort of identifiable personal information, yours or otherwise, is prohibited.
