Dinah Shore Weekend
At the end of March, Palm Springs, California becomes a mecca for lesbians from all over the world. Originally geared towards attendees of the Dinah Shore women's golfing tournament, the entertainment, parties and participants have made it an event unto itself. Nowadays, it's rare to meet women who have set foot on the golf course.
When you arrive in Palm Springs you may wonder, "what the hell is this gawdawful place?!" The reason this thought may pop into your mind is that the drive into the city is very barren and dusty. Sure, you see the requisite palm trees but the outskirts of the city look like it's been sucked dry. As you progress into the center of the city, you begin to see the lush, green lawns of resorts and luxury homes.
You'll definitely need to plan ahead because the flagship hotels fill up fast. If you like a festive atmosphere a flagship hotel is definitely where you'll want to stay. They have shuttles available to take you to each party (there are many). If you''d rather avoid the crowds and commotion (the DJ starts playing at the pool bright and early at 8 am) there are quieter alternatives. Palm Springs has a number of lesbian bed & breakfasts, and there are also condos available for groups.
If you really want to live large, go for the VIP package for around $900 US per person which includes your very own VIP Liaison.
Dinah Shore Weekend promises to surround you with a varied group of lesbians, from beautiful femmes in lipstick and bikinis, hot butch babes in muscle tees and surf shorts and everything in between. Sweet.
